• This rootstock is the result of  the sowing of apricot seeds.
  • It is demanding as far as the soil is concerned, which must be filtered and warm, since it it sensitive to rot.
  • It has a good general affinity with most apricot varieties.
  • Tree growth on Franc is slower than on Myrobolan at first but it is able to catch up by the fourth quarter.
  • The roots are deep and provide the tree with a good resistance to drought.
