This cherry rootstock is of intermediate robustness between MAXMA DELBARD® 14 Brokforest* and GI-SEL-A5* or TABEL® Edabri*.
With regards to MAXMA DELBARD® 14 Brokforest*, CERAVIUM® is very close in terms of fruit set and productivity, but it allows for more dense plantations and to have trees that are more easily accessible for harvesting. Compared to TABEL®, it is more rustic with regard to the soil, viruses, and to aphid attacks.
It is suitable for deep, fresh soils.
Of very rapid fruit set and of good productivity, this rootstock, reproduced in-vitro is classified in the range of semi-dwarf.
It has a tendency to close its insertion angles, scaffolding and lateral, which can be inconvenient for the naturally erect varieties but more favorable for varieties with weeping bearing.
