• This rootstock is the result of sowing the seed of MYROBOLAN plums, plum trees of rapid growth.
  • It is used as a rootstock of the plum and apricot trees.
  • It is a rustic rootstock, that develops in a large number of terrains, even relatively humid ones. It is fairly tolerant to limestone and fairly resistant to root rot. Not to be used in soil that is too dry.
  • It has the inconvenience of having a very heterogeneous behavior.  Its behavior allows thus for certain individuals to be less struck by bacterial blight, but there is no guarantee concerning the trees’ health relating to viruses.
  • Certain varieties of apricot trees do not have a perfect affinity with MYROBOLAN (CANINO, ROUGE DU ROUSSILON), and detachment is possible in the first years of harvest.
