• Hybrid domestic Prune tree P994 x Reine Claude of Bavay n° 24 selected  in a joint study by the INRA and the CTIFL. Experimented on the n° MP 43. Apricot tree rootstock susceptible to replacing the Reine Claude GF 1380®. This is one of the most used plum trees for the apricot.
  • It supports root asphyxia well and seems to confer a more rapid fruit set than GF 1380® and a reduction of very sensitive vegetation.
  • It has a good compatibility with different apricot varieties but is incompatible with the peach tree.
  • Its vigor is medium, or even weak.  This can therefore be a real disadvantage in situations where soil is fatigued. It must be ensured that plantation density is slightly augmented and varieties that are not very robust are to be avoided.
